gkrellm-x86info software package provides gkrellm plugin displaying the current processor speed, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gkrellm-x86info
gkrellm-x86info is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gkrellm-x86info package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gkrellm-x86info *
You will get with gkrellm-x86info package name, version, architecture and description in a table
